The role of the Vendor Manager is the sole accountable for building and maintaining relationships with our strategic partners for Polaris.

 

Polaris is a global program which will transform the next generation Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Platform in five ways:

  • Simplify key business processes through global standardization
  • Create value savings in efficiency, process maturity and system streamlining
  • Advance geographic expansion, innovation, and processes, through business acquisition and new product integration
  • Prioritise activities representing significant growth benefits
  • Leverage innovative digital technologies to develop unique asset

 

You will have accountability for:

 

Leads partnership strategic alignment with Polaris Team.

  • Defines strategic direction and objectives of key partnerships with Polaris contact.
  • Leads periodic reviews; organises agenda, tracks decisions, and delivery of agreed objectives in Vendor Scorecard.
  • Aligns adjustments needed to direction with Polaris Leadership Team.
  • Develops and owns that Polaris contracting yearly plan

 

Leads contract management, service delivery reporting and governance for Polaris.

  • Oversees the contract lifecycle, ensures signed contracts are recorded according to policy.
  • Tracks vendor service delivery versus agreed contractual commitments and where applicable establishes continuous improvement plans.
  • Participates in technical and business discussions to ensure alignment between service delivery objectives with business objectives.
  • Participates in contract negotiations and Request for Proposals of key strategic partners.
  • Identification of contractual, financial and operational risks in order to alert and work closely with management to prevent and/or resolve them
  • Develops and maintains vendor management governance, framework, and vendor scorecards.
  • Ensures Polaris processes are in line with Ipsen Purchasing and Legal policies and guidance

Knowledge, abilities & experience:

  • Master degree with minimum 5 years's experience on a similar position
  • Previous experience as Contract Manager / Buyer
  • Experience in contract management platforms (Ariba).
  • Fluent in English & French
  • Develops and manages strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
