We are seeking/recruiting a Nuclear Decommissioning Engineer with at least five years of relevant experience in the field.
You have been involved in projects related to design, technical studies, or site supervision concerning nuclear deconstruction or radioactive waste management.
You’ll be based in Lyon, France, but regular travels to the site of Ignalina NPP in Lithuania will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and review of technological design documentation and safety analysis reports
Ensure technical robustness and overall consistency of studies
Seek opportunities for optimisation and technical solutions to mitigate risks associated with dismantling activities
Coordinate the technical activities of a multidisciplinary team (design engineers, nuclear safety engineers, waste engineers, radiation protection engineers, etc.)
Ensure interfaces between different engineering departments and partners (internal/external)
Ensure liaise with stakeholders and Lithuanian Regulatory body
Required Profile:
Higher education degree in general engineering (preferably Nuclear or Mechanical)./ University degree or equivalent academic qualification in relevant technical sciences and/or engineering, safety engineering or nuclear engineering
Fluent in Russian and English – essential
Proficiency in Lithuanian (B1 level)
Knowledge of Lithuanian regulation
Experience in drafting technological design and safety analysis documentation
Willingness to travel regularly to Lithuania
Ability to work in a team and comfortable in a multi-technical environment,
Ability to liaise with stakeholders
Analytical and synthesis skills as well as writing skills
Rigour and organisation
Experience in decommissioning projects of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant would be an asset.
